His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to sections 16 and 17 of the Department of Transport Act , is pleased hereby to revoke the Heritage Canals Regulations , made by Order in Council P.C. 1984-196 of January 19, 1984 Footnote * , and to make the annexed Regulations respecting the management, maintenance, proper use and protection of the historic canals administered by the Canadian Parks Service , in substitution therefor.
