Whereas, pursuant to subsection 48(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Footnote * , the Minister of the Environment published in the Canada Gazette Part I on July 15, 1989 a copy of the annexed Regulations respecting concentrations of lead and phosphorus in gasoline , substantially in the form annexed hereto; Return to footnote * R.S., c. 16 (4th Supp.) And Whereas, in the opinion of the Governor in Council, the concentrations of lead and phosphorus in gasoline prescribed in the annexed Regulations, if exceeded, would, on the combustion of the gasoline in ordinary circumstances, result in a significant contribution to air pollution; Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to section 47 and subsection 87(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act * , is pleased hereby to revoke the Lead-Free Gasoline Regulations , C.R.C., c. 408 and the Leaded Gasoline Regulations , C.R.C., c. 409 and to make the annexed Regulations respecting concentrations of lead and phosphorus in gasoline , in substitution therefor. Whereas turkeys and turkey products have been included on the Import Control List ; And Whereas the Secretary of State for External Affairs has determined an import access quantity for turkeys and turkey products pursuant to subsection 6.2(1) Footnote * of the Export and Import Permits Act ; Therefore, the Secretary of State for External Affairs, pursuant to section 10 Footnote ** of the Export and Import Permits Act , hereby cancels the Import of Turkeys and Turkey Products Permit , issued on February 4, 1981 Footnote *** , and, pursuant to subsection 8.3(3) Footnote **** of the Export and Import Permits Act , hereby issues the annexed General permit authorizing the importation of turkeys and turkey products for personal use , effective on the later of the days on which sections 74, 106, 109 and 111 of An Act to implement the Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization , being chapter 47 of the Statutes of Canada, 1994, come into force.
