Whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that the Personal Information Protection Act , S.B.C. 2003, c. 63, of the Province of British Columbia, which is substantially similar to Part 1 of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act Footnote a , applies to the organizations described in the annexed Order; Return to footnote a S.C. 2000, c. 5 Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to paragraph 26(2)(b) of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act a , hereby makes the annexed Organizations in the Province of British Columbia Exemption Order .
