Whereas the Statute Revision Commission has reported in writing the completion of the Second Supplement to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985; And Whereas the Governor General has caused a printed copy of that Supplement, attested under the signature of the Governor General, countersigned by the Minister of Justice and certified correct by the Chairman of the Statute Revision Commission, to be deposited in the office of the Clerk of the Parliaments on October 19, 1988. Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to subsection 13(2) of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985 Act, is pleased hereby to declare December 12, 1988 as the day on and from which the Second Supplement to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, shall come into force and have operation and effect as law as though the enactments contained therein were expressly embodied in and enacted by an Act of Parliament.
