His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the President of the Treasury Board, pursuant to sections 23 Footnote * and 43 Footnote ** , subsection 56(2) Footnote *** and paragraphs 64(1)(m) to (o) Footnote **** of the Members of Parliament Retiring Allowances Act , is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting elections made under sections 23 and 43 of the Members of Parliament Retiring Allowances Act , effective July 1, 1996.
