Whereas the Governor in Council has, by the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency Proclamation Footnote * , established the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency, pursuant to subsection 17(1) of the Farm Products Marketing Agencies Act Footnote ** ; And Whereas the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency has been empowered to implement a marketing plan pursuant to the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency Proclamation Footnote * ; Therefore, the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency, pursuant to paragraph 23(1)(f) of the Farm Products Marketing Agencies Act Footnote ** and section 7 of the schedule to the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg Marketing Agency Proclamation Footnote * , hereby makes the annexed Regulations respecting the establishment of a system of licensing of persons engaged in the marketing in interprovincial or export trade of broiler hatching eggs or chicks produced for chicken production , effective October 1, 1987. A Proclamation Whereas in and by subsection 17(1) of the Farm Products Marketing Agencies Act it is provided that the Governor in Council may by proclamation establish an agency with powers relating to any farm product or farm products the marketing of which in interprovincial and export trade is not regulated pursuant to the Canadian Wheat Board Act or the Canadian Dairy Commission Act where she is satisfied that a majority of the producers of the farm product or of each of the farm products in Canada is in favour of the establishment of an agency; And Whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that a majority of the producers in Canada of broiler hatching eggs and chicks produced for chicken production is in favour of the establishment of such an agency; Now Know You that We, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council for Canada, do by this Our Proclamation establish an agency, to be known as Canadian Hatching Egg Producers, consisting of eight members appointed in the manner and for the terms set forth in the schedule hereto.
